Fraternal Benefits
Scholarship Program
Police and Firemen's Insurance has awarded 1309 scholarships since 1987,
totaling over $3,389,000.00, to children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
of Police Officers and Firefighters across the United States.The Scholarships
are $1,000.00 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study.
Orphan's Income Benefit/ Orphan's Scholarship Program
The Orphaned Children of Police and Firemen's Insurance Association are
eligible to receive up to $24,000 each in fraternal income benefits, plus $2,000
per year in fraternal scholarship benefits for four years of undergraduate
study.
Family Fraternal Benefit
Provides $5,000 in fraternal insurance protection for children of members
from their eighth through their 59th day of life, plus guarantees the
insurability of the children for $10,000 at the 60th day of life.
Reward Fund
Up to $2,500 in rewards will be paid to persons providing information leading
to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death or permanent
disability of a Police and Firemen's Insurance Association
Memorial Fund
Police and Firemen’s Insurance Association will contribute a fraternal
benefit of $2,000 to a member and $1,000 to a non-member who is killed in the
line of duty. The fraternal benefit is paid to the surviving families of Police
Officers and Fire Fighters in their established sections.
Heroes Hall of Fame
Special Recognition to Police Officers and Fire Fighters for their heroic
actions to save the lives of others while risking their own.
In the Spirit of Brotherhood
Fraternal donations are given to help those in need through participation in
fund raisers in local departments
The PFIA Protector
The protector is the official publication of Police and Firemen's Insurance
Association. Each issue highlights activities of Police and Fire departments
across the country.
The PFIA Protector is published quarterly by the Police and Firemen's
Insurance Association. Executive and editorial offices are located at 101 East
116th Street, Caramel, Indiana 46032. Annual Subscription rates for nonmembers,
$10; $15 foreign. Single copies, $5. |
